Krav Panim El Panim - KAPAP  is the Hebrew acronym for Face To Face Combat. It is the original combat system of defensive tactics, hand-to-hand combat and self-defense, employed by the Israeli defense and security forces, the Israeli national Police, and its special operations and anti-terrorist units.

KAPAP
fight tactics originated in the 1940's and were used by the Palmach (Jewish Strike Brigades) forces in fighting for the independence of the State of Israel. These Palmach units later formed the core of Israel's special units in the conventional military (IDF).

The modern day KAPAP combat system is headed by Lt. Col Chaim Pe'er who served in one of Israel's most elite units, called Sayeret Matkal, and later on, trained other special units in guerilla warfare and hand to hand combat tactics. The KAPAP system was updated from its basic form of combat by the operatives of special units and official Instructors that served, and still serve, in Israel's different security branches.

The KAPAP Federation is based in Israel, with Avi Nardia KAPAP Academy serving as its sole representative in the United States.

Avi Nardia (Major, IDF Res.) Served in a Police special unit as an intelligence team member and defensive tactics/CQB instructor. In 24 years of reserve service to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), he earned the rank of Major. As well, he has trained Police agencies and armed forces all over the world; from Police patrol and corrections officers to SWAT, SRT and SERT team members along with Army, Marine and counter terror units to Special Forces. In Israel, he taught defensive tactics and operational behavior at the Operational Police Academy, which is charged with training the entire police force of the country. He is the only instructor to be an official instructor for the Israeli army - Israeli police and Israeli counter terror units.

Avi Nardia KAPAP Academy serves as a think tank, a repository of knowledge and EXPERIENCE with respect to the next level in Reality self defense. Today's KAPAP is based on understanding and utilizing realistic scenarios that have emerged from real world experience in some of our worst and most threatening environments. Notably, KAPAP minimizes the need for either strength or power on the part of the KAPAP practitioner in taking action to protect themselves or their loved ones.

Avi Nardia KAPAP Academy's courses are designed for security companies, security departments, law enforcement agencies, military or civilians interested in upgrading their knowledge and capabilities in this field.

Our training system includes a well established curriculum and it is mainly based on live exercises and simulations. We believe that only a wise combination of strategy and tactical learning, with extensive and realistic training, can offer professional and practical solutions in modern high stress situations.
